Post 19 The Things I Find

Hi all! It’s been quite a while since I posted. My only excuse is that I was writing, just not on this site. Some of you know–and I hope you will tell others–that the third novel in the Jackson’s Pond Series was released July 26, 2021 by MidTown Publishing.  Making It Home continues the saga of the Jackson family of Jackson’s Pond, Texas. I hope you will read it if you haven’t already and also that you will rate it and/or write a review wherever you review books. (See the page on this site for Making It Home for more details and the Buy Books Now page for links to buy.)

That’s why I’ve been missing from this site. But that doesn’t tell you what I recently found. For the previous novel, Slanted Light, I had offered prizes for two lucky winners attending a Zoom event. They would be named characters in Making It Home. The two winners, Stephanie Jacobson and Sue Jane Sullivan received advance reading copies of that novel where they appeared. And here’s what I found—they were both willing to conduct a brief, video-recorded “book club meeting” to discuss it. The results were fun and quite pleasing to me. If you have 14 minutes to spare, you can meet them and “attend” their book club by watching the video below. I hope you will. Once again, I found how fortunate I am to know so many great readers and good friends! (NB: I can’t edit video; it’s beyond me. So begin at 25 seconds into the video for the “best” experience.)
