The Things I Find–Post 23 Encouragement–It Only Takes A Little

People who know me know that it takes very little to make me laugh. I enjoy jokes, puns, and all sorts of general absurdity.
The same is true for me and encouragement. It only takes a little encouragement to keep me going. Regardless of the topic, if someone passes along an “atta girl,” a “I really liked the pie you made,” I’m stoked. As far as my fiction writing goes, encouragement from any quarter pushes me directly to my notes and my stories and keeps me in my chair, writing.
Yesterday brought an extra-large dose of the elixir of encouragement. Story Circle Network announced the short lists in each category for their Sarton Award. My novel, Marva Cope, is included as one of the six finalists, the shortlist, in the contemporary fiction category. Here’s a big THANK YOU to Story Circle Network, my form of reciprocal encouragement to the organization.

That’s all for now; I must get back to my current story-in-progress. I’m encouraged!
